MONTE LABRO

On the top of the mountain you have a wonderful view to the Amiata mountain and in the Scansano direction to the Tureen seaside.
In the park you can take a walk and observe deer, muffles and wolfs.
The David Lazzaretti tower is on the highest point of the mountain. He was an Amiata prophet, killed by the authority in 1878, the founder of a political- religious community, the Giurisdavidici.
Next to this exists the most important Italian Buddhists centre. The Merigar is a meditation and meeting centre, founded in 1981 by the yoga teacher: Chöghyal Nahmkai Norbu.
